About The Programme

This part-time, 100% online Master of Science in Global Public Health is designed for professionals and graduates seeking to advance their expertise in epidemiology, public health leadership and global health systems. Delivered by Coventry University Online in collaboration with ASTML, the programme is well-suited to those working in healthcare, charities, NGOs, public health teams, local authorities or government agencies, as well as graduates holding an honours degree in health, social sciences or a related discipline.

What You’ll Study

The programme covers epidemiology in a global context, medical anthropology, and emergency responses and preparedness in global public health. Students also examine the contemporary issues facing global public health leaders, including policy, legislation, emerging technologies and climate change, in a module aligned to the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice at no additional cost, before completing a dissertation.

The curriculum is designed to build critical analytical skills in epidemiological data and global health evidence, alongside the leadership and emergency management capabilities needed to support health system improvement and policy development on a global scale.

On successful completion of the programme, graduates will have developed the knowledge and skills to pursue a range of roles across public health, policy and emergency management. Students successfully completing this degree could develop careers as public health advisers, public health analysts, epidemiology and public health data analysts, public health project managers, international health policy advisers and emergency and incident response officers.
